Editorial policy
Select Match Journal aims to make matchmaking ideas clearer without promising that any method can identify a perfect partner. We distinguish explanation from opinion and correct errors openly.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable material before publication and write so readers can tell the difference between an established description, an interpretation and an opinion. Where a topic is uncertain or views differ, we say so rather than make a confident claim the material cannot support.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to readers and fit with our subject. A commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions, and we do not present a partner's preferred message as independent editorial judgment.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or a confusing passage, use the Contact page and identify the article and issue as clearly as you can. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid collaborations and partner placements are identified clearly so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are treated as illustrations rather than documentary evidence.
A match is more than a matching score
The language of compatibility can help people start a conversation, but it cannot tell the whole story. We look at the ideas and choices behind matchmaking, with room for nuance and individual difference.
